3. This is Jared Kushner’s signature initiative. Behind the plan is a complex set of bribes- or investment opportunities- for Palestinian leaders. Denounce violence and we’ll set you up with businesses and some form of limited democracy. Sounds like Apartheid South Africa to me.
4. The plan was likely a part of the Russian/Saudi/UAE/Egypt/GOP plan to elect Trump and overhaul the Middle East through Russian aggression in Syria and chaos in Iran. Here’s the problem, Russia already got what it came for, and Israel MBS and Trump still need to get theirs.

6. So far at least Russia has kept its part of the bargain by limiting its support for Iran. The end of the Iranian regime is likely the final phase of the new Middle East.
