In Economic Survey: A long note on the NSSO's PLFS report, saying how it cannot be compared with the past NSSO data. But the author does a detailed analysis on increasing formalisation & decreasing participation of women in labour force making a comparison with past NSSO results.
This is based on the same NSSO report which showed the unemployment rate at a 45-year-high of 6.1% in 2017-18. The govt initially denied the report, some termed it as 'fake' and later released it saying the report cannot be compared with past results.
