I have been making the case that Republicans would do what they just did for a long time and almost no one agreed with me.

Now that you can all see what the Republican Party has become, let’s talk about WHY and HOW to fix our country.

I have a list.

Perfect storm created this GOP:

- Gerrymandering = less accountability
- Citizens United = loyalty to $
- For profit news= drama is king
- He said/she said journalism enables lies
- Republicans got away w/ outrageous power grabs
- Disinformation assists from Russia et al

ADD YOUR IDEAS. How to get our democracy back.

People should:

- Support fair maps/local chapter of @allontheline

- Build reliable change from ground up by focusing on local elections

- Vote in every single election

- Don’t support media that traffics Trump/GOP conspiracies

If this seems distant and far away, yes. It took 40 years for the Republican Party to decimate our democracy. Rebuilding it is going to take dedication.

But it’s nowhere near as hard as our civil rights leaders endured.

So, yes we can.

Candidates should support:

- Campaign finance reform

- Publicly funded elections

- Same day voters registration

- Election Day a holiday

- VRA

We also need legislation to:

- Bring back Net Neutrality
- Restore Fairness Doctrine for TV/Radio
- Break up corporate media monopolies

If you live in a reliable blue state, donate/volunteer resources to swing areas in red states and swing states.

Bring the army of change that cannot be denied.
