Grateful for the leadership of the Host Committee board in swiftly investigating and acting on concerns courageously raised. Now, we can move forward—grounded in our values—to building a terrific convention.
The Host Committee—now under new management—has a counterpart organization, the Democratic National Convention Committee. It's led by Joe Solmonese, whose leadership has been stellar in this moment of challenge—and in general. Thanks, Joe, for leading with your values.
The Host Committee board learned this weekend about a letter sent by senior female staff members detailing serious problems in the culture created by the then-leadership team. They moved immediately to take decisive action. Now we can move forward.

During the transition period to new leadership, the DNC Host Committee will be led by Teresa Vilmain. Teresa is a deeply experienced politico and convention veteran, a one-in-a-million organizer, and a fundamentally decent, kind, and warm human being. Perfect choice.
If you don't know about Teresa Vilmain, who is now interim leader of the Milwaukee convention Host Committee, read her bio. (This one's about a decade old and could easily be five times as long if they included everything.) We're in good hands.

Conventions aren't easy. They're enormously complex operations, a million layers deep. But they're important. They're a message about our values and our community. This one will change Wisconsin, and the country, for the better. For @milwaukee2020, tomorrow is a new day. Forward!
