2/ I've copiously read several news stories where @PoliceNG PPRO, @frankmbablog, quoting IGP M. Adamu, says the much-awaited DECENTRALISATION of Nig's CENTRIFUGAL Policing System via #CommunityPolicing is set. But the recruited Special Constables won't be PAID SALARIES. REALLY?

3/ It's glaring, even to the blind, paid and unpaid sycophants of the @MBuhari-led administration that since 2015, Nigeria's broken internal security architecture has worsened. @MBuhari is SHOCKED and @NGRSenate & @HouseNGR are GLOATING, over the steep rise in MASS KIlLINGS.

4/ The world's most powerful nation and seat of power @WhiteHouse led by @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is worried & have shown immense concern over Nigeria's broken security situation. As announced by @SecPompeo yesterday, the U.S. gave Nig, $350m in 2019, to give $40m in 2020 as aids.

5/ @WhiteHouse through @StateDept, has also promised to meet the contract deadline, to hand over to Nigeria, about 12 A-29 Super Tucano Light Attack Aircrafts, Nigeria procured at $500m. The order was with Embraer Defense & Security & its partner Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC).

6/ Among other things, under the contract, Embraer and SNC will provide ground training devices, mission planning systems, mission debrief systems, spares, ground support equipment, and alternate mission equipment to Nigeria.

7/ The contract also involves the delivery of contiguous US interim contractor support, outside of continental US (OCONUS) contractor logistic support and field service representatives for OCONUS support. Good as this sounds, it won't FIX Nigeria's broken security architecture.

8/ The BEST BET out of Nigeria's broken internal security architecture in 2020, and beyond, is for the @MBuhari-led admin to get serious, lay a solid foundation through EXECUTIVE BILLS to @nassnigeria, to #RestructureNigeria & #DecentralisePolicing, as it operates across U.S.

9/ The 50 States of U.S., have 50 INDEPENDENT State Police structures; across the 3,142 counties & county-equivalents in the 50 states & the District of Columbia, there are 3,142 Sherrifs Offices; the 19,495 incorporated places (cities, villages) all have POLICE DEPARTMENTS.

10/ The U.S., is a saner clime where there is law & order. The above stats on her #CommunityPolicing system remains her secret. Also with other saner climes like the United Kingdom. They all have a DECENTRALISED POLICE SYSTEM + better funding for manpower, tech, intelligence.

11/ The MASS KILLINGS recorded in Nigeria, in 2019, where over 3, 188 deaths were reported, is a stat that should worry all Nigerians. This kind of stat can only be recorded in FAILED STATES, HOBBESIAN STATE- where life is 'nasty, brutish and short.'

12/ The Nigerian leadership and all Nigerians, at home and in the Diaspora, should urgently wake up to the reality that all is not well with the current CENTRIFUGAL Federal Structure and CENTRIFUGAL @PoliceNG. WAY OUT, I reiterate is #RestructureNigeriaNow, #DecentralisePolicing.

13/ @PoliceNG idea on #CommunityPolicing is DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA). NATIONAL SECURITY is a multi-trillion dollars industry, world over. No serious nation jokes with her internal security. How do you recruit Special Constables for #CommunityPolicing & pay them not. WHO DOES THAT?

14/ Where will the funds come from to fund a DECENTRALISED @PoliceNG by States & LGAs? @MBuhari should:

1. #RestructureNigeriaNow.
2. The Revenue Sharing Formular for FG, States, LGAs RENEGOTIATED.
3. Downward Review of Politicians' Bogus Emoluments.
4. Fight GRAFT in toto.
