2/ Via several threads, I've counseled the leaderships of Prez. @MBuhari; @DrAhmadLawan and @femigbaja to on or before 2023, work with State Governors, State Assemblies, religious, traditional leaders, academia, think tanks, leaders of thoughts, et al, to #RestructureNigeria.
3/ Ahead of 2023, I've continued to harp on this germane issue. Having critically periscoped into Nigeria's future, the nation is sitting on a keg of gun powder. WHY? Rarely will any Nigerian President, enjoy the kind of honey moon, 'BABA' @MBuhari currently enjoys today.
4/ Despite the many ills of governance, policies flip-flops, recession, poverty, massive jobs loss, devaluation of Naira, deteriorating national security, mass killings, eroded electoral processes, etc, bedevilling the @MBuhari admin since 2015, the septuagenarian 'FLEXES.'
5/ Prez. @MBuhari who barely 2 weeks ago (January 23, 2020), returned from London, is again headed for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to join leaders from the 55-member countries of the African Union (AU) to participate in the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Union. 'BABA' feels ALL IS WELL.
6/ Since Nigeria's return to civil rule in 1999, no President- Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, @GEJonathan, has ever enjoyed the kind of HONEY MOON, @MBuhari has enjoyed from Nigerians, as well as the @nassnigeria. As tough as OBJ, NASS never gave him this kind of HONEY MOON. #BuhariIsLucky
7/ It is against this backdrop of HONEY MOON that @MBuhari continues to enjoy from Nigerians, @nassnigeria, as well as the 36 State Governors, that I enjoin him to pen his name in gold, by laying a solid foundation to #RestructureNigeriaNow.
8/ TO RESTRUCTURE Nig, all @MBuhari should do is send an EXECUTIVE BILL to @nassnigeria to amend the 1999 Constitution, to allow for a REFERENDUM. This Referendum is to allow for an election on or before 2023, for Nigerian Voters to have their say on key issues for Restructuring.
9/ For example, it should be thrown via a ballot for eligible Nigerian voters (constituent assembly) to determine if they want:
- State Police
- LGA Police Departments
- Devolution of Excess Power from FG/ Exclusive Legislative List
- Renegotiated Revenue Sharing Formula etc.
- State Police

10/ The outcome of this Referendum by the Nigerian people, in addition with the 2014 National Confab report, as well as reports of other constitutional conferences, since 1999, are what should make up a BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION for Nigeria. Not this PANEL-BEATING DECREE 24 of 1999.
11/ I repeat, before he exits in 2023, Prez. @MBuhari, with the MALLEABLE @nassnigeria and Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), at his beck and call, can gift Nigeria a solid pathway towards a BRAND NEW PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTION & a RESTRUCTURED NIGERIA.
12/ If @MBuhari fails to lay a solid foundation & pathway towards a RESTRUCTURED NIGERIA, whether power shifts to the South or remains in the North, by 2023, I fear for Nigeria's future. WHY? Nigeria is now more divided along ethnic, religious & partisan lines than ever before.
