Two important developments today (thread):
1. Ben Wallace says that the "UK Visiting Forces Act... subjects US Department of Defence (DoD) personnel and their families to UK law."

The FCO in its response the Dunn family's Judicial Review said...
... "The Claimants appear simply to assume that, because the US personnel were physically based at RAF Croughton, the Visiting Forces Act 1952 must be the applicable piece of domestic legislation. There is no basis for that assumption".

Which government department is right?
2. Mail on Sunday reporting Anne Sacoolas was a CIA agent. If she was an *active* CIA agent based at Croughton then she would potentially fall under the waiver of immunity which was agreed for diplomats in a secret 1995 treaty between the UK/US. So no immunity for Harry's death
Questions for the FCO are if they knew she was CIA at the time of Harry's death, and whether US used her status as a family member to take advantage of the 'anomaly' whereby family members are said to (family dispute this) have more immunity than diplomats
The FCO have refused, so far, to disclose any information or documents about the discussions with the USA and police after Harry died. The family are pushing hard for disclosure and have made an application for information and documents. Important to to get answers.
*CIA officer not agent
