I keep seeing this narrative lately that "PuErTo RiCaNs cReAtEd hiP hOp"....

Can someone please explain to me HOW they created or even CO-CREATED Hip Hop?

Because as a historian, I would love to have this narrative explained
There are recordings of Foundational Black Americans have been doing songs where they rhyme in the "rap" cadence going back to the 1930's
Some recordings of FBA doing early versions of "rap" go back to the 1920s
Another early version of rap from the the 1920s by Foundational Black Americans...We have BEEN doing rhymes style flows
