Apparently James Carville is telling US Democrats to not go 'too far left'.

No surprise, he played a huge role in helping one of Bolivia's worst right-wing presidents, who massacred the people of El Alto when they protested against his privatization of gas. Thread👇
Carville's consulting firm (Greenberg Carville Shrum) managed president Goni's re-election campaign in 2002. Goni was an unpopular, US educated, neoliberal president who barely spoke spanish. Carville's firm delivered him a narrow victory against Evo in a fraudulent election.
This election was important for the US because Goni was trying to privatize Bolivia's natural gas reserves, whereas Evo promised to nationalize it. Huge interests were relying on a Goni victory.
During that campaign, the US Ambassador to Bolivia, Manuel Rocha, threatened voters, saying that the US would cut comercial ties if Evo won, as well calling him a terrorist comparable to Bin Laden.
Carville knew Goni was hated, so to win they employed a PR strategy aimed at instilling fear into Bolivians, the message was 'things are bad, but you'll face unimagenable suffering if you change course now'. A documentary was made about this consulting: vimeo.com/211581181
With Carvilles help, Goni 'won' with 22% of the vote. What followed was a period of heavy repression, the 'Black October' massacre saw over 60 people killed in El Alto while protesting against privatization. Goni was thankfully overthrown in 2003 and escaped to Miami.
James Carville was paid to manipulate Bolivia's elections, on behalf of a murderous neoliberal president, then just hopped back to DC when his guy started massacring the people. No accountability. Pure imperialism. Don't get played by these ghouls.
He now lives comfortably in a huge mansion, and is part of the centrist Democrat 'resistance'. People like @JamesCarville will never pay for the huge damage they intentionally inflict on the rest of the world.
