1/5 Today, the WMSC released an audit of how well WMATA maintains and inspects its track and structures. While the WMSC found WMATA has made some progress in recent years, the WMSC found 16 areas where WMATA must make significant improvements. #wmata
2/5 The WMSC looked closely at WMATA’s Track and Structures Departments – aka TRST.
3/5 The WMSC found TRST protocols that were inadequate, inconsistent, completely outdated, and, in some areas, frequently ignored. The WMSC also found serious deficiencies in training and lack of quality control to make sure repairs and maintenance were properly conducted.
