so, quick story about the time i didn't meet obama...
the undefeated did an event in greensboro with obama. one of those town halls. for a brief moment, there was a moment where i thought i might host it, but that didn't happen. i went, though. north carolina is one of my "homes," yanno?
so one thing i'd always been curious about was whether obama knew who i was. i knew the dude watched a lot of espn, but i know better than to assume on those things. i also figure it'd be cool if he did cuz, yanno, first black president. i even voted for him once or twice.
so the thing ends. obama is getting off the stage and walking out. he's walking down the aisle to my left. i'm in the aisle seat.
he looks toward me. he has a familiar look on his face. he starts to speak. i prepare to give a head nod. perhaps a dap hug. i'm ready.

oh, and THEN, after it's all done, i'm posted up in front of a building. can't remember why i was still there, but i was.
two white cops walk up on me. i mean, they were walking with purpose. and they were walking straight to me. fast.

i'm just saying, they didn't need to walk so fast for that. or maybe change outta your work clothes first.

i later found out obama did, in fact, know who i was. which, i gotta say, made it even f cking worse that he didn't say nothin, when you think about it.
and needless to say, after all this, i ain't gonna vote for him again.
