This makes me speechless with rage.

The government required him to see a therapist. He thought his words would be confidential. Now, the traumatized migrant may be deported. wapo.st/therapyreports…

2/ His therapists told him that anything he said would be confidential. He told them about having been forced to sell drugs for the gang that took over the house he lived in after his abusive grandmother died. When the gang told him he had to kill someone or be killed, he fled.

3/ Now the government is using his words against him.

It's awful that we broke our word. It's awful that we've twisted his story, so that it's not about a kid forced to help a gang, but about "a gang member." It's awful that we keep appealing decisions in his favor.

4/ But besides all that, you cannot have actual counseling if you're going to share the notes. Your client needs to trust you, and if everything they say can be used against them, that will not happen.

This kid has no one -- NO ONE -- to talk to.

5/ He's desperately lonely. He used to talk to his counselor, but, well, look how that turned out.

He has no one at all.
