But the point applies to process falling short of law: good processes (eg in selection) reduce bias and error by applying collective past experience and ensuring that weaknesses are properly challenged and biases corrected.
Bad processes, which just slow things down unnecessarily, are bad. But the answer isn’t to junk all processes in favour of the unfettered genius of the consigliere: that inevitably leads to bias and error.
