I believe the UCP very much has its eye on stakeholders groups, they just don't consider the people of Alberta, or medical personnel to be important stakeholders in this. The UCP seems to be moving things to the point where our universal health care system is untenable. 2/4
At which point, private, for-profit alternatives will be brought in, along with insurance companies so people can think they can afford this. 3/4
The UCP is working in someone's best interests. It's just not Albertans'. 4/4

@AlbertaatNoon There seems to be a pattern emerging. The UCP appoints these panels to study certain issues, like SCSs, health care, etc, and the panel returns a report that validates the UCP's ideological position and provides justification for their plans. 1/5
I think it would be very interesting to see what direction was given to each panel in terms of scope, and results expected/desired. In other words, to what extent is the UCP telling these panels what to find? 2/5
I have a background in research, and I know while there is good empirical research possible, I also know that some "research" findings are tailored to please the client. 3/5

This has to be one of the lamest boasts I have seen in a long time. As one who feels big money should have less influence in Canadian elections, this is simply off-putting.

You are bragging that you managed to get more people to give you money faster. Big whoop. The CPC has a trained base. By now they automatically respond when they get a fund-raising email or phone call. $5 for this outrage, $5 for that outrage. 2/10
Your lot keep people's anger and blood pressure up so they will keep on shelling out the money. I wonder how many of them have any idea how this money they give the CPC is spent? Private school tuition, for example... 3/10

Most Canadians feel no animousity towards their fellow humans over sexual orientation, skin colour, religion, economic status... Most Canadians, in fact, actually care about people we have never even met. 2/15
We are happy to pay taxes if it means a kid on the other side of the country gets life-saving treatment their family couldn't afford without our universal health care. We are outraged when people are discriminated against because of race, creed, colour, gender, orientation. 3/15

Once again, the UN shows what a farce it is.

The UN blocked Japan and Australia from speaking at their #GreenScam climate summit because they still support coal.

Yet, both #China and India are on the schedule to speak and China’s had a surge of coal plant approvals lately.
August 5: China coal mine approvals surge despite climate pledges.

Not to mention, 2050 is an important date in China’s world domination plan.

Hilarious. Also, this morning I read through the entire #UCP platform, and it is full of dogwhistles, pandering to business, and deeply troubling policy "ideas" (a word I'm using rather charitably here).

Kenney continues to be leader of three parties, and we should all remember his astroturfing of social media accounts, like Unite Alberta. It's in this spirit, of course, that the platform isn't actually on the UCP website. #ableg
It's fine to have election-specific pages, but it's interesting to have an entire website dedicated to this campaign that, really, operates as yet another Kenney front, which was registered in 2016, a year and a half before the UCP even existed. #ableg
