So that those who don't read well enough will understand the predicament we are in as a nation, let me bring back the Mohammed Abacha case. In 2014 the FG dropped all charges against him and the Abacha family.

Read the reasons given by Adoke the attorney general...
The attorney general claimed he consulted far and wide before dropping those charges. The major reason was dropping these charges was to facilitate the recovery of loots offshore.

In return all Abacha's / his son's assets in Nigeria will become legit. No trial again...
Because all charges have been 'dropped' by the FG in 2014 in exchange for some looted funds or credit alerts, Mr. Mohammed has gone to court to lay claim to one of Nigeria's most prized oil asset.
Ask yourself why the FG has been unable to seize any of Abacha's assets in Nigeria

You have to be extremely foolish not to understand what ECA means, if you cannot analyse the ECA balance, inflows and outflows from 2004 - 2015.

Consider the balance in 2016, oil prices from 2016 - 2019, outflows from 2016 - 2019

$1.76bn paris refund to states

Here's the funny thing about journalism. The major outlets profess to be unable to read like this (I've honestly heard that from several entities in the last few days).
So they put more stock in a single, anon "person knowledgeable about the situation" says than what both sides' lawyers say -- as officers of the court -- to a judge, PLUS what the judge herself says.

The court record is tough to read, but nevertheless fairly clear.

The thing about Eric is, he balances a sparkling intellect with an openness to carry out enquiries, into spaces where rational thinking alone isn’t enough.
2/ His ability to explore and articulate complex subjects with nuance & depth, makes it extremely tough to put him into any kind of box.

Sure, he's the MD of Thiel Capital, but there's so much more driving him. And these are the very things for which he doesn't get his due.
3/ Personally speaking, his views on Self-teaching / High-agency really do strike a chord.

We already knew that a response to the MtD was coming; but since many delusional people had taken one look at the PR laden response by CIG and given them a win, most didn't know what to expect from the Crytek response.

I certainly wasn't expecting the beatdown Skadden delivered.
In fact, back (below) when I wrote my opinion on the CIG response, and stated that Ortwin had basically drawn the battle lines with open hostility, I knew that it was going to set the tone going forward. Boy did Skadden deliver.
