Naturally, most of the millions of apps on @Glitch are tools or utilities people use at work, or stuff coders have pulled together to solve a problem. But! We the community also has so people making apps just for *fun*, reminding us the Internet can actually be awesome...
One app that's blowing up right now is @freezydorito's funny tool to turn any regular Tweet into a simulated Guardian headline.
Then there's @keekerdc's amazingly realistic billboard generator, if you'd like to make it seem like you've got a billionaire's billboard budget:
This Animal Crossing-inspired app from @goingonajournie is oddly reassuring! Tell it your birthday, and see which character it connects you to.
And I gotta include one super-useful one that's not *fun* but is indispensable — @chrisdonahuey made a tool so you can easily access Google Drive files right from your command line.
All of these apps are open source, made by regular people, free, and are the sorts of things that might inspire you to remix them into your own versions. How many of the apps on your phone or tabs in your browser were made by regular people? Do they inspire you to create?
