I have news for the left. If they think people will turn against Pres. Trump over the China virus they ate too many magic mushrooms. So far Trump has handled it perfectly and the only people making it political are the Dems. If Dems were in charge, the virus would already be here
It's also not going to have a long term impact on the economy. It will most likely peter out by middle of spring/early summer. The death rate while higher than the flu will not be high enough to collapse the country.

8 out of 10 people infected will catch a cold.
2 out of 10 will have complications that forces them to seek care most in a hospital. 0.5 out of ten will require ICU care. 2 out of 100 will die. (if the death rate stays that high)

Democrat debate tonight at 8:00pm. Looks like there will be seven clowns on stage tonight. For how ever long I can stand it, I'll be watching it.

It will be interesting to see if the old Communist guy can keep those young whippersnappers off his yard and if mini Mike has a box.
According to the "polls" Biden is leading in SC with Bernie in second and Daddy Climatebucks in third place.

Biden really needs to do well in this primary or it's pretty much over for him. Mini Mike while not running in primary needs a strong debate or it's pretty much over.

1. We are listening. When you talk/post/tweet about the trial & shame or blame the survivors, we are listening. We are judging if we can trust you with our own stories. If people in your life say victim-blaming statements check in with them and share why these are damaging.
Be prepared. Throughout this trial and afterwards, people you care about might disclose that they are survivors of sexual violence be it harassment, assault or rape. Listen, believe, remind them it’s not their fault — that they have the right to be safe and they are not alone.

“Sexual assault is an act in which a person intentionally sexually touches another person without that person's consent, or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will.” So yes. Kissing someone against their will is sexual assault. Enough.
Never mind that the power dynamic inherent in “not comfortable saying something” is a huge part of the point here. Or that this is all part of the continuum of rape culture and lack of concern for women’s agency and autonomy.
There are degrees of sexual assault. I believe they vary by state, but the fact that fourth degree sexual assault and first degree sexual assault are not the same category does not mean they are not both sexual assault.

In ANY type of criminal case, Rape, Assault, Robbery etc., a person can be convicted solely on the word of a complainant.

If you think that's not enough in a Rape case, you should be similarly concerned about every other type of criminal prosecution.
Until relatively recently in most US states, in order to prosecute rape cases there was an additional legal requirement of "Corroboration." This was only needed in rape cases. So in a robbery case, I could say you stole $1000 from me & that would be enough for a conviction.
But in a rape case, there had to be something more, for instance, an eyewitness. Clearly rape cases were the least likely to have this sort of "corroborating" evidence, by their very nature, so to require this extra proof was illogical & unfair.
