Now there's a reported case of coronavirus transmission in Calif. close to Travis Air Base, where the health workers met passengers and then went their separate ways. The whistleblower is a veteran HHS employee. This will increase scrutiny of decisions by Trump & Alex Azar.
The workers went to March Air Reserve Base, which had Americans from Wuhan, China — the epicenter — and Travis Air Base, which had Americans from the infected Diamond Princess ship, among others. NYT reports similar cases of unprotected contact occurred at base in Miramar.
NYT story is based on 2 sources. One went to Miramar base and interacted w/ quarantined Americans, but has not been tested since. He’s now back at office — still untested. The other is the whistleblower complaint, which details chaos at other Calif. bases. Astounding passages.
