November 2013. The Sun says this text message was sent from Johnny Depp to Paul Bettany.
Very disturbing for sure, but no evidence of crime since it did not happen. Not an admission of actual physical violence. The text is also out of context and does not include Paul's responses. Currently, we do not know if it was part of a longer text.
Also to note is that fantasising about violence towards your abuser (we have Amber Heard's admission of physical violence on tape, so we know she was physically violent with him) is common behaviour. As an example:
His lawyer's statements which seem to imply the texts were read out loud in the wrong order at court. Currently, we do not know what is true. The matter will be solved in court. But regardless, these texts are not evidence of abuse.

Inconsistency: Amber claims that Johnny pushed a chair at her. The problem is that on aeroplanes the chairs are bolted to the ground so they won't fall over during turbulence.

Inconsistency:
There are two instances where two different text messages were sent at the same time down to the millisecond. Which is literally impossible unless you were texting at the speed of light.

No evidence of a physical altercation. Illness could refer to Johnny's widely known issues with addiction. Evidence of a disagreement about James Franco but not what was said. To my knowledge, these texts have never been verified.
Then there are these texts read out loud by the Sun at the court hearing a day ago. No context is again given. If these texts are from this incident, they prove that Johnny had been drinking and that there was a verbal altercation, but no evidence of physical one.

She also submitted this picture of scars in her arm (I tried to find a better picture but no luck, sorry). No indication when this was taken and it shows no establishing shot of her face so we know it’s her arm. It’s only her word that these are from this incident. Inconclusive.

The texts have to my knowledge never been verified, and Amber’s sister who was the one claimed to have sent the text messages has never been deposed. Testimony by the estate manager Kevin Murphy makes no mention of this incident and in fact, says:

No evidence is given, only her word for what happened. They discuss this incident in the audio, proving that there was indeed a physical fight, but no mention who got physical with whom.
Here is a fan photograph of them on the train. The picture is bad quality but there seems to be discolouration under Johnny’s left eye.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard attended the Toronto Film Festival on September 14-15. Both seemingly uninjured but we know from the tape they had a fight that led to Johnny getting another hotel room
Since we do not know when the recording was made, except that it was after Toronto, I'm going to add it here.
On the tape, Johnny asks after Amber's toes. It seems he is referring to this incident:

For some reason, Amber does not mention that her other friend IO Tillet Wright was also there even though in 2016 he claimed he was (in an article strangely, and not in his deposition) by saying he watched Amber go on the James Corden show the next day (16th)
Perhaps it's because he was there the day after on 16th/17th instead of the 15th like he implied by using the words "next day"
The James Corden show is taped from 5pm to 7pm. There is a 3 hour time difference between LA and Ohio. He was on the plane at 5 pm. The flight takes 5 hours, he couldn't have been there before the taping. The picture of Amber's injuries is taken about the same time the show aired
