We are saddened to hear of the passing of the groundbreaking theoretical physicist and mathematician Freeman Dyson:

In 02005, Dyson, his daughter @edyson, and son George Dyson appeared on stage together for the first time to discuss the difficulty of thinking far ahead.

I'm saddened to hear about the passing away of our MCA Cyrus Omondi aka Gearbox aka Mtambo wa Chuma. He was a good man.

I voted for him.

Mostly because of a cat.

(this is a true story)
So. A few years ago, a family friend left their cat at our home while she was travelling.

We kept it locked in, but on the second day it slipped out - right into the path of some dogs which promptly chased it up a tree.
The next 2 days were crazy. The cat wouldn't come down the tree no matter what we tried.

It would be silent during the day, then start sad meowing all night. The kids were getting depressed - they had became very attached to it.
