A great public service to have a doctor on Monday's @JeremyVineOn5. 👍
🤔 Or was it?
JV introduces "a great doctor"...
@drdavidbull.
In what galaxy is Mr Bull a 'great doctor'?
Maybe he was 25 years ago- the last time he worked in the #NHS.
Since he gave up (& after we'd paid the entirety of his 6+ yrs medical training), he's been a model, a 'TV doctor' & a property speculator. 💰
I know a couple who qualified around the same time as Mr Bull.
They've run an extremely busy 14,000 patient surgery for decades, incorporating GP trainees on site & at Uni on their 'days off'.
Who's been the best value to the taxpayer & #NHS for their £100K+ training?
Plenty of medics qualify, then move overseas to use their knowledge to benefit others.
Some give up, to pursue a different career.
Mr Bull (he's unlicenced to practice medicine) is in a league of his own.
#Brexit
How do you go from this opinion ⬇️ pre-referendum......
...to working for Mr Farages Brexit Company, as an MEP.
The same fascist-sympathising, white-supremacist endorsing Farage, that seeks an end to our #NHS as we know it (free at the point of use, equal benefit for all regardless of income).
Personally, I need more convincing that Mr Bull has the welfare of our health service at heart.
After all, his views are a direct contradiction of the leaders of every medical Royal College who say #Brexit is 'bad', and Bull's no-deal 'catastrophic'.
I have the solution. ⤵️
@drdavidbull
You're unemployed &
the #NHS is desperate.
If, as you once said, you 'love the NHS', why not put your money where it counts, and re-train?
It'll take a while & it's a lot tougher than it was, but think how good you might feel.
Give something back.
Meanwhile, @JeremyVineOn5- it's bad practice to deceive your viewers by pretending that Mr Bull is professionally qualified to comment on #Coronavirus.
My knowledge & opinions are as good as his, and I just drive around all day for a living.
(I read #BMJ in the evenings 🤓)
