Today is the first anniversary of something quite odd.
From 24/7/18, 650 MP's had exactly 6 weeks holiday to consider the fact that VoteLeave were proven (on 17/7/18), to have broken the law, and how to answer the public petition- 'Withdraw A50 if VoteLeave broke the Law'

This wasn't just 'lying', or 'overspending'- it was data-mining, hacking the details of 7M FB a/c's and targeting them with 1,500,000,000 anti-EU ads. Lies, as it happens.

Now, what's not a fact, is whether all that lot was enough to 'win'.
If around 9% of the 7M a/c's voted 'leave', it would have been enough.
As they were carefully selected targets, I'd put John Redwood's entire #Brexit portfolio on it. 💰

This campaign, run by Dominic Cummings, & his pet clowns Johnson & Gove, wasn't stopping for anything, not even the brutal murder of Jo Cox.
Days before the vote, when all sides had agreed to suspend campaigning, VoteLeave upped their game, & posted their 1.5B ads in one w/e.

So, with that lot to think about, and having had six weeks to think about it, when the 200K signature petition came up for consideration, (a few days after their return to work), what would our representatives response be?

Can anyone tell me why this *isn't* odd?

It's easy for #quitters to argue that 'we don't know what'll happen', but aren't @LibDems (& everybody else) missing a trick by being completely silent about the near certainty that the ref result was 'bought'?
