Today is probably going to be a nightmare on the markets. There will be blood on the streets for sure. But the worst thing to do today is panic & sell everything. the next couple of weeks and months will see volatile times. You will get time to adjust your pension, stocks etc 1
To panic & make short-term decisions with your long-term savings is not something to do. Either your fund manager has already made these decisions or for you. If not fire them on another day and wait for the blood to dry. 2
The fund managers that have done badly need to punished by clients moving money away. I suggest that the worst funds over say 3, 5 & 10 years should be published in every news site. (1 year too short). Ask your financial advisor for the worst 120 funds (that's not even 10%) 3
Then move to ones that have low volatile scores. Also low fees. If directly in the equity market it's also too late to panic. Stay unless you really know you made a bad decision. Cash again is an option with inflow now with a view of buying bargains later. Today you do not panic
