I hate to say I told you so, but @ewarren has been raising concerns about this problem since 2018, and has been insisting that regulators act to address it ever since. /thread
In 2018, she wrote letters to federal regulators noting the "growing risks" in the leveraged lending market.

.@ewarren identified the risks to the economy before the 2008 crash. She did it again before the turmoil we're facing today. In both cases, supposed experts and pundits laughed her off and insisted she was wrong.

This study is not an analysis of Elizabeth’s actual wealth tax plan.

The reason the study finds less revenue is because of evasion. But the study admits that it does not account for the very strong anti-evasion measures Elizabeth built into her plan.

It’s meaningless.
The study’s analysis of the growth impact of Elizabeth’s plan is also absurd.

It doesn’t analyze a single one of the actual investments she wants to fund with the wealth tax— like universal child care and early education — and just analyzes some other investments instead.
