Here's our daily update for 3/11: we have tracked 7,617 cumulative people tested here in the US by tallying individual state reporting. That's up from 4,889 yesterday.

NOTE: We cannot capture all negative tests because not all states report them.

We are tracking the number of people who have been tested here, which is different from "number of tests," which is what the CDC has released so far.

Washington has tested the most people and has the most cases (267). NY now second for cases at 216.
We await updates from Massachusetts and California, which will also have large numbers. Colorado's numbers are also climbing, standing at 28 cases as of their last update.
We also have a new website up: covidtracking.com.

It's plain and fast. As @kissane, one of our hero volunteers put it: "Today we make it work. Tomorrow we make it look pretty."
On the site, we provide more information about our team, including this list of volunteers. They are a rugged, dedicated, inspiring group and @hackingdata, @yayitsrob, and me (@alexismadrigal) are so grateful to them.
We also made our tips and tricks for reading *your* state's data available. This is the document our data entry people use to track the evolving way that states are reporting their testing.

Finally, though we have not pushed visualizations to the site, volunteers are beginning to work with the data like Willem Botha's quick dashboard:
