Power has gone out in entire area. JFC this is stressful.
Always have your phones charged, folks. (Unlike me.) And if you are on an oxygen concentrator, ALWAYS have back-up oxygen tanks. If you need breathing treatments, you can turn a tank up to 6 to do a treatment with mask or the thing in your mouth.
Thank G-d the power is back. What a relief!!! 14k people were out, so a lot. Fortunately most people are sleeping,so may not have even known. But the lady at @PECOconnect who I talked to when I reported it and was crying about the oxygen was so nice. Very soothing.

Current #coronavirus mortality rates:
People aged 60-70 = 4%
People aged 70-80 = 10%
People aged 80+ =14%
I cannot reiterate enough that if you have a chronic illness, particularly an auto-immune disease or lung disease or disability impacting your airway, you are at high risk for #coronavirus NO MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE. So you must protect yourselves accordingly.
For those asking me, the comparability % of regular #flu to #coronavirus is 0.05%. And each year in the U.S. between 35k (2019/20) and 90k (2017) people die of flu.

What needs to happen to start:
1. Widespread testing to determine extent of the spread.
2. Massive self-quaratine in high density affected areas.
3. Mobilize health care workers in impacted areas like Inslee & Cuomo have done.
4. Offer affected workers emergency $.

5. All testing must be free.
6. Close down all nonessential businesses for the next 30 days like China did to contain the spread.
7. Ban all gatherings of over 100 people--watch your religious services online.
8. Release daily updates from Fauci and CDC.
9. Make price gouging on anything, but especially essentials, an arrestable offense.

I have covered two pandemics in my career. They have an end point if people use strict containment guidelines. Please do that. Right now we must follow past events for guidance. #coronavirus

Long, discursive column on the myriad of things Bernie Sanders did wrong THIS time--exactly like last time. Dismissing black voters, being sexist. It leaves out Sanders' abusive, anti-Democrat staff who all claim racism isn't the problem, classism is.

The analysis is solid--I wrote myself that Bernie ditching Selma was a slap in the face to the seriously ill John Lewis and that Bernie should have reached out to Clyburn instead of insulting him. But there was more: Bernie's destructive anti-Hillary/anti-Obama messaging.
And while there is nothing I disagree with that Walsh says about Bernie, @thenation failing to endorse Warren and waiting to endorse Bernie until five minutes ago says even the progressive wing was confused about who belonged where.
