We @primevp_in had a call with about 30 of our founders today - glad to say most companies are taking the problem seriously. @MyGate_com with an AirForce Officer at the helm naturally has thought through & already actioned amulti-step plan.
A couple of others @SunstoneEdu & @IncRecko have already moved to 100% #WFH.
Most of the other 25 companies have already started splitting their teams across office spaces & days of the week.
Everything I've understood about exponential math and the medical capacity says that we have to slow down the growth of #Covid19 so we don't overburden the healthcare system. #SocialDistancing is pretty much the only tool now
- Separate functional teams physically and mandate that they cannot meet each other
- Stop ALL physical meetings in conference rooms immediately
- People can ONLY work from their desk - they cannot interact
- If you travelled anywhere, 2 week automatic quarantine for Intl; 1 week for domestic
- No to hiring - not as cost cutting, but mostly because you'll be meeting and interviewing people
- Switch to the Indian Namaste - no more shaking hands
- Disable Fingerprint sensors
Ultimately the most important is to not Panic but be Prepared. Have a clear understanding of what you do if someone in your team, your office, your tech park is exposed to the virus.
Last but not least, communicate, communicate, communicate! This is a rapidly changing scenario and what made sense yesterday probably doesn't make sense today. Be open to listen and be swift & decisive in your actions!
The safe and important decision is to #WorkFromHomeNOW

Some companies may be taking this lightly - unfortunately that is a HUGERISK not just for you but for everyone else.
Please review and feel free to use this Google Document we initially put together as an internal document.

Co1:
Tech team has been directed to work from home from tomorrow. We have split ops team such that half is coming Office and the other half is working from home for full week. So we have backup in case things go worse ...
... before we can switch to complete WFH.
Also Sales teams are directed not to visit office for full week so there is no contact of external ones to internal teams.
Co 2: I just had a core team meeting & decided to start wfh from tomorrow.. a few important shipments are due in/out so that is the only thing we need employees physically in office-but that we will manage swiftly-anyway there is biz impact but better to move fast & be safe
We had few things set up from remote access side like VPN etc and had moved the customer calls to zoom.
We did a quick meeting with everyone, wrote the operating procedure and the decided to make the next week WFH
We started working from home today morning. We had an all hands meeting yesterday and moved entire team to equip with slack, trello, google meet and olaph. Sales team also is enabled to work from home.
