It’s hard to force yourself to be accountable.
Here’s what I do:
1) I have to exercise every day. If I’m not physically tired out, there’s no way I’m getting shit done that I need to do. Because ants in pants➡️puttering.
1/?
2/?
4) Have healthy food around so you don’t get tempted into a food coma (much easier to fall prey to when your bed is 3/?
4) If you don’t have to do your work at a certain time, just need to get it done, find the times that are easiest for you to concentrate. I’m a night owl and recovering night shift worker, so my best work tends to happen late at night. Maybe you’re a 4/?
5) Set small productivity goals/deadlines. When you attain them, reward yourself with non-food treats like 10 minutes of DogTwitter or CatTwitter (aka no “I’m bored” mindless spoon in peanut butter jar...5/6
6) don’t beat yourself up if it takes some time to adjust and you are less productive initially. With no commute taking up time in your day, you have more time to devote to working to make up the difference in productivity.
Good luck!
