The so called "tiger" of mysore challenged that he would tie his horse in the golden flagpost of Padmanabha perumal temple in thiruvananthapuram.He was defeated and his flag and sword was captured by the travancore forces under the then Maharaja Karthika Thirunal Dharma Raja(1/4) 
tippus sword , flag was captured and the sword was returned when tippu begged for it and it was returned upon medtiation by Arcot nawab. a replica of flag is even today carried on elephant back during biannual festival of the same temple where tippu wanted to tie his horse(2/4)
if not for dharma raja,there wont be padmanbha temple today, there wont be any hindus in travancore . there wont be any temples,we owe a lot to the dharma raja. it is a shame to know the great Dharma Raja of Travancore who stood as one of the unshakable pillars of dharma(3/4)
during the invasion of Kerala by invaders is completely ignored and forgotten from our memories, while the Islamic invader in Tipu Sultan is being hailed as a freedom fighter(4/4)
