Shaming women for being moms and wives alongside replacing the father with the State as the family provider are one of the main causes of the current dysfunction in our society.

One of the absolute worst things the feminists did was to denigrate the role of the Housewife.
One of the most important roles in society for thousands of years, relegated to an insult in a matter of a decade.

The home maker and mother is and has always been a vital role within the family. Even going back in history to more "patriarchal times",
the jokes that men made and all of it included, there was actual respect for the woman of the house. Because without that role, the house is not in order, the children are not well-raised, and the man is nothing more than a slave to pay, with little to come home to.

#Iranian women key players in anti-government protests in Iran…
Iranian women are at the forefront of anti-government protests in #Iran challenging the misogynous rule of the clerical regime.
Dec 2017/Jan 2018 #Iranprotests
Women played a significant role in the protests. In many parts of Iran, women were the first to chant “down with Khamenei”, the regime’s Supreme Leader, which then turned into the key slogan of the uprising, targeting the regime in its entirety.

द्विधाकृत्वात्मनो देहमर्धेन पुरुषोभवत्
अर्घेन नारी तस्यां स विराजमसृजत्प्रभु। - #Manusmriti

“In the beginning, the world was equally split into two and from one part man was created, while from the other a woman.”
Note The EQUAL split. #Hinduism #InternationalWomensDay
No. Not created from a man because he was bored and lonely. Woman isn’t a man’s entertainment.

We often get into debates with people about women in Islam. How they dress. Are they allowed to study. Are they forced to wear Hijabs, Can Muslim women ever be femisnists, Are they oppressed. What the Quran says on this or that. On #WomensDay let me share some insights
The recent global socio-political climate, has been such that the phrase “Muslim woman” might conjure an image of a demure powerless woman sheltered by her burqa, oppressed by her hijab. Yet this image is not what history records or what present shows.
Muslims believe that the first verses revealed to Prophet Muhammed were the first five verses in Surat Al-Alaq ("The Clot"), which orders people to seek knowledge.
Seeking knowledge is thus obligatory for every Muslim, male and female

For all the #women who’ve ever felt disregarded, ignored, used, or silenced – you’re not alone.

It’s a #FolkloreThursday - #WomensDay story thread called

“Blow Me (One Last Hat)”

IMAGE: Title card for "The Goose Girl", Robert Anning Bell, 1912
Once upon a time, a long-ruling Queen had a daughter (who we’ll call Gigi, which is long for GG which is short for Goose Girl) who she loved very much. Nice to see some genuine familial affection for once, generally it’s the parents causing the mayhem.
The time had come for Gigi to leave home & travel to a distant kingdom where her fiancé, the prince waited. As she was Queen’s only child, the departure was, emotional.
GIGI: Mom, calm down.
