Chances someone in either crowd has got #Coronavirus #COVIDー19? But they don’t know they have?

Are all these people definitely not going to visit their relatives who are over 70?
If the UK Government is right and the UK is a few weeks behind Italy or Spain on all of this... and physical distancing works... why are these events still happening?

Wir erleben im Moment viele gut gemeinte Angebote für Nachbarschaftshilfen und haben das Gefühl, dass nun die Hälfte aller Leute Besorgungen übernehmen würde, wenn der Bedarf schon größer wäre.
Es stellt sich die Frage, ob das so unkoordiniert, selbst mit allen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen, die notwendige Isolierung nicht ad absurdum führt.
Müsste nicht vielmehr die Anzahl der Helfer in einem Umkreis auf das notwendige, aber minimale Maß reduziert werden? Wie können wir vermeiden, dass die wichtige und gut gemeinte Hilfe nicht genau das untergräbt, was wir versuchen zu erreichen - Isolation?

As @tagesschau also reports, German farmers are worried that with planting season coming, there will not be anyone to do any planting

Prompted by a discussion with @PaulbernalUK, some thoughts about the UK Government's #CoronaVirus #COVIDー19 communications:

I now do not know the UK Government's *objective*
The reason the "herd immunity" idea was so sticky in communication terms was that it was at least an objective. You could argue if it ever were the true objective, whether it still is, whether it were the right objective... but it was somehow concrete
It was even in project management terms a SMART objective
- Specific (70+% get it)
- Measurable (test if people have it, or extrapolate from deaths)
- Achievable (virus spreads fast, so yes)
- Realistic (if you assume no re-occurrence, yes)
- Time (2 years)

Audio: understand pros & cons of landline vs cell/mobile apps, work with producer to find right platform. Wear headphones/headset when on computers.

Video/Skype: dry run with producer, write out toplines and key pts, pre-test equipment, turn off all notifications/sounds. (2/4)

Raise your computer, be 18 inches from camera. Be careful with clothes/jewelry. Face natural light if possible, lamp behind computer if that’s not available.

The correct framing on #coronavirus #COVIDー19 risks, and why the death rate of the virus is irrelevant:
Death is the most emotional subject we as humans must deal with. And we all must deal with it. But there is no truly rational way to deal with death. There are ways one could argue make life while living more enjoyable, but rationality is out of the question.
So, one of the primary ways we as humans deal with death is to create a heuristic about death. We think of deaths as normal or tragic. A 95-year-old passing away in their sleep surrounded by loved ones? We have a “celebration of life” rather than a grim funeral.

In 2003, the world experienced an outbreak of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). I was in med school. Initially, the illness seemed to be linked with travel to China, but the Chinese government was not saying anything about it.
The cause of SARS was completely unknown, and it was five months between the illness first appearing and the World Health Organization (WHO) becoming significantly involved, alerting public health authorities around the world.
