Also, why is their answer always more debt, rather than grants, to businesses like bars and restaurants who already operate on tight margins? Will the airlines be required to use the $ to pay the baggage handlers, cabin crews etc or can they use it for yet more stock buybacks?
And sorry, why are they determined to cut the payroll tax, which will gut Social Security and Medicare?? COVID19 is especially deadly for the very group ON those programs: seniors. And what about expanding Medicaid so those in most need can get treated? None of this makes sense.
And most importantly, why not give money DIRECTLY TO WORKERS in the first place, as well as to small businesses who are going to suffer. Even Mitt Romney agrees on that at this point... Is this thing on??
