I've been urging invocation of the Defense Production Act for some time; explanations below. How a president could not invoke it to compel/compensate production is remarkable. We know what we need and we don't have enough, not even in strategic stockpile. 1/

The Defense Production Act is a tool a president has, among many, to respond to the #coronavirus and can be used for domestic crises. He can compel contracts on manufacturers or set priorities. We know none of this is being done.

The President said today they are studying it. The problem is that production doesn't turn on a dime. At best, we have a few weeks until peak. This should have been done in January.

But we know that we are entering a surge stage. I repeat myself. The Pentagon is starting to release capacity and stockpiles. Good. But the President is not tapping our "great" private sector to actually do something useful.

So let me leave you with a secret. You know those parking lots the CEOs offered to Trump. A corporation has never denied us a parking lot: Walmart, Target, you name it. They love giving gov. their parking lots. Why? B/c people go shopping after they get assistance:)

Thread on Logistics. The Quid pro quo for us sheltering in place is that US surges resources to states based on need to flatten curve. It is why the #DefenseProductionAct is necessary, and the failure to strategically organize logistics is deadly for states. 1/ #surge
I sound like a broken record, but this is the easy part. It's not frontline stuff, saving a life, or science stuff like finding a vaccine. It's moving or manufacturing stuff from point A and getting it to point B. It's logistics. We know how to do this. We have laws to help. 2/
Today, FEMA director said he didn't know how many masks were available or being delivered. It's basic inventory stuff; should have been figured out weeks ago. Then, you determine where there are gaps and compel companies to make them. Again, simple.

The measure of success now isn't that we will contain the virus. It is here. It is that on the other side fewer will be dead or severely harmed by Coronavirus. We measure success that way. 100,000 dead is good if we anticipated 1,000,000 (I can sound harsh, I'm not). 3/

1. And now, lets DESTROY impeachment article #1 which claims @realDonaldTrump abused his power as POTUS. It's hard to nail down what Democrats meant by this charge since they keep changing their reasons behind it AND because no violation of a federal code section was cited.
2. Democrats say Trump broke the law by stopping payment that Congress "ordered" to be paid to Ukraine.

Democrats INSIST the funds MUST go through no matter what.

That is a BLATANT lie and I'll prove it.

Question:

Why would we even ALLOW funds to be paid to a corrupt country?
3. The GAO - Government Accountability Office - appeared to side with democrat impeachment efforts with a statement on 16 January, 2020 saying Trump and the OMB broke the rules. They released a press statement.

I come across so many people unwilling to invest in running their business, then wonder why they're stuck.

Yes, you can start that online business for free.

No, you can't keep it running that way.

This is especially true when you have little to no business experience...
...or if you don't have anyone in your circle with more experience than you to guide you.

You can def learn as you go, but that takes time.

You can free info your way through it, but free info only works well when you know what you need. That knowledge comes with experience...
You'll come across statements like "do the work". But are you doing the RIGHT work? Do you have an extra 3-9 months to figure that out?

"You need systems" they say. But are you using the systems that are right for you, or what's popular?

(PRODUCTION THREAD) This is for someone on the TL.
Here is a little thing i do during every production
Key steps is to look at the the following.

Divide the planning process into three

Pre production
Filming - Production
Post production
Pre production

Story.
Define the characters. The Hero and the villian etc. What are the themes...what story are you trying to tell. I would usually get a few writers in the room to banter. I could either camp them in my house or a hotel or have them come a few days.
Story ideas are discussed, some ideas are thrown out while others are kept. You eventually get a basic idea (somewhat detailed) of the story you want to tell. In the real world the workshop costs money and the writers would usually have a fee that you would pay.
