Surge is a revolutionary DEX that truly decentralized the Liquidity Pools.

It helps to avoid exploits and rug pulls since it doesn't have an external Liquidity pool.

🧵A thread on @SURGEPROTOCOL that will go live on Arbitrum on 5th of April.
1/ What is Surge?

Surge is an innovative DEX that has a smart contract that stores its own liquidity pool inside itself (contract).

It's not possible to rug Surge because there is no external liquidity pool.

It is available on BSC and ETH, expanding to Arbitrum on April 5th.
2/ How Surge Protocol works?

Surge Pioneered SRG20 smart contract standard with internal liquidity pool management.

$SRG is the native token for Surge.

$SRG can be traded via BSCscan/Etherscan directly on the contract without ever connecting your wallet to a third party site.

The #Ethereum #Merge is coming around Sept 14th. It isn't easy to predict the exact date bc/ it is defined on terminal total difficulty but it will happen around this date.

🧵But what is the merge and why is it so important? This thread should help to explain it.
#EthereumMerge Image
What is the #Merge?
It is a long-awaited change from #ProofOfWork to #ProofOfStake or to be more precise the merging of the #PoW Execution Layer with the #PoS Execution Layer.

This will bring the #Ethereum Chain into a new era by removing miners and using validators instead. Image
Imagine a castle wall: #PoW is a wall made of electricity & if someone wants to break through, they need at least 51% of the total energy in place. #PoS is a wall made of money & if someone wants to break it, they need at least half the money piled up (50% atm: 6.7 Mio #ETH) Image

@RobbieForChange lamented in a public lecture yesterday that US public health policy is constrained by what Americans are willing to do...
🤔 I would argue the chief constraint is @CDC inappropriately messaging safety with a pretty pastel map while we are in a surge 🧵
A recent poll showed that 74% of Americans would #MaskUp if we were in a surge.…
But @CDCgov hasn't declared a #Surge.

Instead of holding a press conference and sending alerts on social media about the impending threat of COVID in coming weeks, they "forecast" thousands of deaths.

COVID deaths are not rain. They are preventable.…

How and why "data availability (DA)" became the sexiest topic in #Ethereum land, the #l222 space, and for #rollups
2/ Pre-2021 (roughly speaking), DA for most #blockchains wasn't a concern for 2 reasons:
1) most blockchains did not have enough usage to warrant any concern
2) the monolithic approach meant that each (full) node downloaded the entire block to check for availability no problemo
3/ However, this approach has its limitations/drawbacks, and, thus, new solutions like light clients, rollups (RUs), and the modular approach were implemented.

I want to extend a massive thanks to everyone who helped out with the @RuralTechFund Golden Ticket Fundraiser.

We raised $76373 from the community through contest entries. Those came from over 300 people. Image
Along with that, we received $65000 in matches from our partners. That very nearly doubled the amount raised from the community.

A very big thanks to @TrustedSec @DragosInc @DNSFilter @NetworkDefense @splunk #SURGe @blackthornellc @markmorow @Microsoft @AlanOrlikoski
That means we raised $141373 for charity.

OVER 140000 DOLLARS!!!

That'll provide 112,000+ meals
That'll provide 24,000+ kids with access to technology education

That'll help people who need it and may just change some lives.

Despite the expected #surge in #inflation early in the week, #bulls picked themselves up to rally #stocks into Friday. We discuss the potential for a short-term #bounce, why the #Fed will make a #mistake, and #postioning now.…
#LessonLearned - don't anticipate the turn in your #technicalsignals. As noted last week, it "seemed" the signal had turned, but it didn't. The #signal is very #oversold, so set up for a short-term #bounce is likely. Caution is still advised for now.…
If we are #correct in our assessment about the roll-off #effect of #stimulus and #liquidity, we could well see #bonds outperform #stocks in 2022. We are watching very closely as we currently hold minimal duration in our fixed-income #portfolios.…

Meanwhile in #France,
"the peak of this second wave is over"

(according to the President in his Adress to the Nation):
Wait... "the peak is over" doesn´t mean "it´s back to normal"!

Confinement will only fall on December 15,
if there´s less than 5.000 new cases a day.
(today it´s ~9.000).

France is disappointed.🙁

Although they certainly can make it happen.
Meanwhile in #Switzerland:
(excess mortality of the second wave is significant)

Good news: fastest decrease in infections happens in the worst hit areas now.

Given the #surge of #COVID19 in the US we need to focus on containing the pandemic. Here are some things we need
1. We need a #NationalPlan to combat this infection
- Right now we have 50 states doing 50 different things
2. Scale up testing
- Use of PCR, saliva, rapid, Ag
3. Focus on community engagement at the local, state, and national level
- Empower communities and people to be proactive
4. Statewide #MaskMandates
5. Limitations on crowd and gathering sizes
6. Support of I&Q
- Paid sick leave, mental health, and healthcare
-Food delivery
7. Scale up of contact tracing once we get case counts lower
8. Support for public health departments and schools so they can carry out recommendations
9. Support for heathcare workers who are burned out
10. Scale up PPE production
11. Financial support for small businesses

Growth rate is key during a disease outbreak. The rate of growth in the the total confirmed #cases in #Canada seems to be showing signs of slowing and pulling away from the continued steep trend line seen, for example, in the United States (Green). #COVID19 #coronavirus 1/25
This is a +ve sign, but still very early to tell, esp. with an est. 1M+ #Canadians having just returned from travel, and #COVID-19 #testing only targeting >severe cases (due to rationing & backlog in lab testing), we don’t have a good grasp on the level of community spread. 2/25
The number of total cases is what we want to know, but the true number of these is not known. Not by us epidemiologists, nor by any other research, governmental or reporting institution. 3/25

Thread on Logistics. The Quid pro quo for us sheltering in place is that US surges resources to states based on need to flatten curve. It is why the #DefenseProductionAct is necessary, and the failure to strategically organize logistics is deadly for states. 1/ #surge
I sound like a broken record, but this is the easy part. It's not frontline stuff, saving a life, or science stuff like finding a vaccine. It's moving or manufacturing stuff from point A and getting it to point B. It's logistics. We know how to do this. We have laws to help. 2/
Today, FEMA director said he didn't know how many masks were available or being delivered. It's basic inventory stuff; should have been figured out weeks ago. Then, you determine where there are gaps and compel companies to make them. Again, simple.

This thread lists some features of @TPP_SystmOne that supports #covid-19 preparedness.
offsite working,
record sharing,
new Airmid app and
1. company actions to minimise possibility of service interruption - see separate thread that I'll post tomorrow
2. ensure @TPP_SystmOne access wherever it is needed. Most users know that #S1 can be used mobile and at home. Many CCGs/CSUs offer HSCN access solutions or remote desktop access - so maximise preparation for home working using #S1. No complex install.
if you are considering how non GP staff are going to support your provision from home get @TPP_SystmOne installed and connected for them.

(1/n) @KhataBook 's humble journey started in 2016 in a small Electrical shop in the tiny town of Degloor, Nanded district, Maharashtra.

Vaibhav saw his father struggle keeping track of pending receivables of customers and decided to do something about it.
He learned Android from Udacity and built India's first cash management Android app, KhataBook, while helping his father run the shop.

He iterated the design till his father was comfortable with the interface and released it on playstore in October 2016.
The app had no backend, very basic front end but was built with first principles and had product market fit.

Meanwhile, at Kyte we had been thinking for sometime to account for cash transactions, as the "Bharat" coming online wasn't really doing digital transactions.
