Today, 18th March, we are living at max T-27 days to Italy. Its just a matter of time that we'll catch up with number of cases based on the trajectory of cases of different cities around the globe who conducted more tests & have better facilities than us. (2/n) #CoronaInPakistan
Figuratively speaking, on 20th February there were 100 cases reported in Italy and only yesterday alone they reported more than 350 deaths. This is a country which definitely has much better health care services in Pakistan.(3/n) #CoronaInPakistan
In Pak, some paramedics have refused to treat the patients of corona virus due to lack of proper medical gears and equipments etc. available at their disposal. So, due to lack of facilities what we are going to be dealing with? (4/n) #CoronaInPakistan
Italy’s population is 60 million whereas we are a country of more than 200 million people so we can already forecast the pressure on the health system. This is just pure simple mathematics and nothing else. (5/n) #CoronaInPakistan
Rise in number of cases is inevitable, deaths due to corona virus are inevitable. We already have weakened immune-systems due to different pulmonary and respiratory diseases in our population and then this spread will make things worse. (6/n) #CoronaInPakistan
What measures Italy, germany, France and other EU countries are taking now after so many cases we must take now so to to be more cautious otherwise the catastrophic effects of this virus in a developing country like ours will be much more disastrous (7/n) #CoronaInPakistan
We all must act now, we all must spread awareness & information in our capacities to the less-privileged people who don’t have access to this information. We will already see a surge in number of cases for the next 14 days since a lot of people around us are already infected(8/n)
A lot of people around us might asymptotic as of now but eventually these people will be exponentially spreading virus to others. (8/n) #CoronaInPakistan
If other big cities around the globe are in a lockdown now we must go in lockdown now. Be it like a curfew situation. What’s the point if we do it later when there are God forbid hundreds of deaths already around us? For once, authorities've to be proactive(9/n) #CoronaInPakistan
Whatever we can do to maximise social distance even keeping ourselves in isolation, we must start doing this now. This would help us flatten the curve.(10/n) #CoronaInPakistan
Its about time when we really have to “GHABRANA HAI”. I know our emaan is that death is inevitable but Allah and his Prophet has also asked us to be cautious and take care of our health, fitness and well-being ourselves.(11/11) #CoronaInPakistan
There is no other solution than complete lockdown. No one else has been able to contain this without locking down the whole cities. Every minute is precious. We got to lockdown NOW there is no solution otherwise! #CoronaInPakistan #CoronaVirusUpdates
