My twitter feed on UK government financial announcement - warm welcomes for protecting employees, but real upset for those self employed / on zero hours contracts. Feels like three quarters of the way there now, from three separate 'budgets'
And this pops up to reinforce the point - feels like one more policy / announcement needed on the economy
And still lots more for government to do from the direct challenges across the NHS to food supplies and distribution, and many issues arising from self isolation and school closures. But each step forward is positive.
Important point on the self-employed - as well as individual livelihoods also big impacts on economic structure if they are left behind.
