#COVIDー19 court update: Chief Judge Beryl Howell has ordered civil and criminal proceedings postponed at the U.S. District Court for D.C. saying the "ends of justice" are served by protecting public health and safety. @CourthouseNews
Judge Howell's pandemic order postpones all civil and criminal trials until May 11, citing a “reduced ability to obtain an adequate spectrum of prospective jurors."
Judge Howell also postponing all non-jury trial proceedings over the next month, including hearings and court appearances, absent an order from a presiding judge on or before Apr 17 for a teleconference or in-person hearing.

#US #CA UC Davis Medical Center CEO “Upon admission, our team asked public health officials if this case could be #COVIDー19. We requested COVID-19 testing by @CDCgov since neither Sacramento Co. nor @CAPublicHealth is doing testing for coronavirus at this time."
Since patient did not fit existing CDC criteria for COVID-19, test was not immediately administered by CDC.
-patient arrived at UCD last Wednesday but only tested for the virus on Sun despite a request made by med center officials that they conduct a test when patient admitted.
“Today the CDC confirmed the patient’s test was positive."

“This is not the first #COVIDー19 patient we have treated & because of the precautions we have had in place since this patient’s arrival, we believe there has been minimal potential for exposure here.

That morning started like most morning, got to the refinery before 8AM, put on my Nomex coveralls and hard hat and went to go find the senior staffer to give him the news...
My colleague John was smoking at the refinery we were working at, which was and remains the largest refinery in Hawaii. John’s smoking spot was located inside the fence line but far enough from the raw crude oil and refined products as to not cause concern for explosion. 3/

Aku kerap dengar ni 8-10 tahun lepas. Tapi harini pun nampaknya masih ada sebilangan masyarakat kita yang berfikiran hampir serupa.

Jadi, ini bebenang dari masa depan! 🧐
Ada beberapa orang jugak la yang dm/cc aku situasi yang hampir serupa, tapi kebanyakan diorang ni baru nak masuk universiti.

Situasinya, parents tak bagi sambung bidang sains komputer (walaupun minat) sebab bagi diorang bidang ni tak ada masa depan.
Tak pasti apa yang diorang nampak sebenarnya pada IT ni.

Mungkin diorang fikir orang IT cuma repair komputer, belajar Word/Excel, repair aircond (tetiba 😅), jaga mesin photostat, setup projector dan PA system ja.

Diorang tak tahu yang Sains Komputer jauh lebih luas dari tu.
