@iamkarendavila Navarro: I'm 48 and I don't have underlying conditions. Walang diabetes, hypertension, o mataas na cholesterol. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: 7 days after I came back from Japan, I had chills and coughing. The dry cough was really bad. I did not have high fever. When I went to St. Luke's that morning, my temperature was 37.9 degrees Celsius but it went down again. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: In my 5th or 6th day at RITM I had 38.5C fever but it also went down to 37C quickly. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: I went to St. Luke's. Initially they didn't want to test me because my symptoms were mild. I insisted. This was March 4 morning. Evening of March 4 DOH called me and said they needed to bring me to RITM because I tested positive and I needed to be isolated. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: My first 4 nights in RITM were good and my symptoms seemed to be disappearing. On the 5th day I had diarrhea. Soon after they found bacteria, and pneumonia started to developed. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: After that, my sister-in-law who is a doctor helped find another hospital to take me in. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: I was given chloroquine. A doctor was administering it to me. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: Dr. Solante came to me on my 15th day and asked how I was feeling. I said I was feeling better, and he said in turn that my lungs were clear. He said I could be discharged but I still needed to be isolated. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: By that time we were still waiting for the results of my followup tests from RITM. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: I don't have a confirmatory test saying I am negative; these haven't been released by the RITM. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro on his darkest moment when he was confined for #COVID19: It was on my 4th or 5th day at the RITM and I heard the wailing sounds of people who had lost their loved ones early in the morning. That was when my fear started.
@iamkarendavila Navarro: That's when I turned to faith and started praying with my family. A pastor started communicating with me through video call. I also used video calls to communicate with my wife. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: Kailangan po natin magdala ng mas maraming doctor sa RITM kasi understaffed po sila. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: There were nurses saying hindi pa sila nakakauwi o nakakatulog kasi hindi pa dumarating mga kapalit nila. Ýung iba hindi pa nakakakain. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: Since my interview ang daming nagsusulat sa akin, nagtatanong sa akin ano'ng dapat gawin. Some of them are from the province and re so poor. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: I think the first thing we need to do is protect our loved ones. Once you have symptoms, go to a hospital, try to get tested, then isolate yourself. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: If your family can't be with you, find a way to talk to them. That's one of the biggest sources of strength. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: Psychologically it's going to kill us. I thought I was strong psychologically but in the darkest moments when my body was starting to give up, my mind was full of doubts. #COVID19
@iamkarendavila Navarro: But in the end it was faith in God, the prayers of people who love you, the encouragement of loved ones that got me through. #COVID19
