So couple points about the differences:

The House bill would increase payments to $1500 per American, but make people that make over $75k to pay much of it back next year. That is dumb. Richer people (say, over $200k?) Fine. But $75k is too low.

That is complete nonsense. Some airlines may not take the money. Others may be hampered by these regulations.

Dems are playing games.

Again, this actually HURTS many of the poor. Doesn't make sense.

I am fine with that, but that won't provide IMMEDIATE stimulus...which is the point.

What the hell, man.

This is dumb. Just give them direct assistance if needed.

In short, Progressives are writing this bill. This is not a bill that focuses on immediate assitance. It does some of that, but there are a lot of long term issues here, and this is not the time to debate that.

Dems clearly aren't worried about the immediate emergency.

This thread is actually pretty much on the mark. This is the garbage for which Democrats are holding up emergency assistance.
