While our country grapples with the concept of lockdown we at Migdal Emunah are in the process of transferring our individual therapy 1/14
and support groups to online platforms and phone sessions. We will continue to provide quality support services from our trained 2/14
ISVAs and therapists to those that need, so please do reach out, we are still here for you. A plea from us to our fellow community 3/14
members. There are some people that are delighted at the concept of lockdown, there are many people struggling to juggle their 4/14
working world and home world colliding, but there are also many that are dreading every minute of every day as sexual abuse becomes 5/14
their ever increasing frequent reality. We know over 90% of sexual abuse is perpetrated by someone known, oftentimes someone within 6/14
the family. This will only become exacerbated over the coming weeks. We implore you to please continue to check in with your 7/14
neighbours, classmates, colleagues and fellow community members. You may be the only listening ear they have. You may be the only one 8/14
they feel they can disclose to. You may be their only link to the outside world that is safe. Please let's not forget others amidst 9/14
this crazy world we are all trying to understand. Please let's not forget our basic safeguarding of children and young people, 10/14
whether that be online, on the phone or those children of key-worker still attending school. Lastly a word of warning for parents 11/14
of children and young people, with our world relocating to internet platform please double check who you are welcoming into your 12/14
home. Do not leave your children alone with anyone with a live online stream. Ensure an open door policy in your house for the 13/14
