This statement suggests that tackling coronavirus remains only the government's 2nd priority to leaving the EU.

Perhaps there's a good reason not to join this EU initiative. But that isn't being an EU initiative. People's lives before dogma.
Question: Is the UK government doing everything in their powers to tackle coronavirus, or everything in their powers to tackle coronavirus as long as that doesn't involve cooperation with the EU?
And no, the EU's response has not been perfect. Nobody's response has been perfect. But it has been rather less denialist than the US, Brazil on China.
Brexit before tackling coronavirus. Global power rivalries before tackling coronavirus. Prospects of a multilateral revival don't look good.
