Thinking one of the short term effects of coronavirus on the UK economy will be to concentrate consumer spending for the duration of the lockdown in a handful of places - supermarket chains and Amazon.
We already had a high street problem in the UK and without further intervention / changes I'd expect this to get worse as a result of whatever length lockdown we have.
There are a lot of worries right now about the robustness of food supply chains if the lockdowns have to continue for a significant period of time. I'd hope this is something the UK government (and others) are actively planning. reuters.com/article/us-hea…
A reminder that governments have had to move into complete economic and social management in a short space of time as a result of coronavirus. 
A government whose function and basis of operation has completely changed in the last month is probably going to need more people.
