Our economy should be like a building fortified against earthquakes. You know the tremors are coming. You’ve seen it before. Experts tell you it’s for certain they’ll come again. Make something that isn’t so unforgiving, that can withstand these things.
And what’s more, an economy should be a measure of how society is working for its people instead of a daily readout of how much wealthier the wealthy have become. It’s been separated completely from the interests of everyone else in its aims and operation.
