Local state of emergencies in B.C. (Vancouver excepted) have been suspended as the province centralizes the response to the #COVID19 crisis.

Here's the full list of new measures the province is taking today.
"It's crucial that response is coordinated," says Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth.

- New supply chain coordination unit
- Secondary resale of food and supplies banned
- Municipal officials across B.C. can support enforcement of provincial orders

Repealing local states of emergency BUT giving local bylaw officers the legal powers to enforce provincial health orders seems to be the way the province plans to be maximize the use of local government resources without having 162 different states of emergency across B.C.
A week ago, the province told me they were fine with local states of emergency being declared.

But the escalating orders in different parts of the province (see: Prince Rupert's quasi-travel ban) caused them to realize a single approach was going to be necessary.
