Supposed to have a Zoom film club meeting in an hour, didn't finish the film. And a Zoom book club group in two hours and didn't start, or even order, the book.

So...a whole new way to feel lousy about myself I guess.
In fairness, imho Felini's 8 1/2 is unbearably long
Ah good, I'm not alone: "Kael derided the film as a "structural disaster" while Simon considered it "a disheartening fiasco""
If we have to celebrate one "tortured male artist combines real life with fantasy in his pursuit of the perfect film, while slathering on a ton of male-gaze assholery," let that movie be All That Jazz
Update: Perfect email-chain snafu resulted in half of us watching La Dolce Vita and half of us watching 8 /12.
I only watched 1/3 of 8 1/2 which is...math that's too hard for me.
Update #2: Somehow i have Jujitsued this into both picing the next book (I'm picking @taffyakner's, I don't care if everybody else has read) and the movie after this, which will be All That Jazz
