Opening of the new section Caboolture to Beerburrum 14th April 2009 northern line - high speed double track replaces the speed limited single line.
One of the first trains heading north over the new section was the Q150 Steam Train.
Bus we travelled on from Elimbah to Beerburrum. Trains not running at this time. Rail services commenced around 9.30am.
The new Beerburrum station. It was here we waited for the commencement of the rail services.

#Löger ist ein Lobbyist privater #Pensionsversicherungen. Was er über das staatliche #Pensionssystem sagt ist schlicht falsch. Österreich kann es sich gut leisten, Menschen nach 40 Jahren Arbeit ihre #Pension auszuzahlen. Aber Löger will ein Millionengeschäft für Versicherungen.
Etwa 6 Prozent der staatlichen Ausgaben fließen in die Pensionen. Die Beiträge der Versicherten decken die Pensions-Auszahlungen immer besser. Für den Zeitraum 2016 bis 2020 werden vom Staat insgesamt 4 Milliarden weniger für das Pensionssystem ausgegeben als erwartet.
Misst man die staatlichen Ausgaben am BIP, zeigt sich: Der Anteil bleibt in den nächsten Jahren stabil – obwohl die Zahl der Personen, die ins Pensionsalter kommen, steigt.
