@eNCA I've just seen a clip wherein Thabo Mbeki indeed confirmed that de Klerk said he was not aware that apartheid was declared a crime against humanity by the UN. If he personally didn't know, surely, surely researchrs at his foundation should have
easily provided him with the relevant UN document. Should we really accept de Klerk ignorance as a bonafide statement? I don't. At his level he should have known because the UN resolution is part of the total global frontline position against apartheid.

The attitude of a typical Igbo person to politics has to change as long as South East remains part of Nigeria. The Igbo person would often remark about focusing on his or her business or trade whilst leaving politics to politicians. To the point of abstaining from voting. THREAD.
That mentality was entrenched because during military rule and 16 years of democracy when economic policies were nationalistic and wasn't targeted to disadvantage of any group. Also the capitalist, free market ideology of PDP made it seem like their businesses were insulated.
Now with Buhari's socialist, state-led capitalist ideology and targeting and under-investment of regions has begin to raise the consciousness of some that politics is not isolated from the economy, business and commerce. Without the right people in power, businesses will suffer.

The sale of human remains has prompted some discussion on social media recently. I've seen a lot of comments about how it must be illegal - so I thought I would write a quick thread about how (unfortunately) it isn't. 1/15
Firstly, there is no concept of ownership of human remains in law. They really belong to no-one, whatever a bill of sale might say. The phrase they used to use for the status of corpses in common law was pleasingly, “the only lawful possessor of the dead body is the earth” 2/15
This may not apply if a body part has ‘acquired different attributes by virtue of the application of skill’ e.g. in anatomical preparation or art. This is why it is possible for someone to legitimately own Damien Hirst's 'For the Love of God' diamond skull with real teeth 3/15
