The State administration has managed to trace the citizens of Maharashtra who had participated in the Markaz organised in Delhi. They have been quarantined.
The Prime Minister also accepted CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’s suggestion to reach out to religious figures across all denominations to ensure that there is no crowding and social distancing is observed.
The Prime Minister said that the State Government should not lift the lockdown immediately from April 15 but it should happen in phases. Precautions should be taken that there is no crowding.
CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray informed that the State Government has set up 3000 camps across the State & is providing meals & shelter to 3.25 lakh people from other States & has also appointed experts & doctors to ensure good mental health.
The Municipal Corporation has already started training health workers to assist the health machinery & have also started preparing MBBS students from 4 medical colleges and nursing colleges for special cells.
CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray also informed if need be, a large space will be finalized for creating isolation and quarantine facilities.
The State Machinery is focused on preventing the spread of Corona. Earlier, the number of tests conducted was low, and hence the number of patients was also less.(1/3)
Since the private diagnostic centres have also been allowed to conduct tests, the results are coming out quickly and that is why the number of patients seems to be going up very fast.(2/3)
