What happened now? Why this change?

As face saver, now ‘Ayurveda’s immunity boosting measures for self care in COVID 19 crisis’ are issued.

No one debated immunity angle. The claims for treatment were always wrong

So many people believed the January advertisement of the Ayush ministry and went for purchasing the homeopathy and Unani medicines that could prevent Corona.

Will govt fix any accountability for misleading people and leading them wrong and unnecessary medication? 5/n
Not just that wrong claims were made by the Ayush minister Shripad Naik that Prince Charles was cured by Ayurveda.

It was denied by his spokesperson & later minister also accepted that it was unverified.

Why should minister peddle unverified claims?

People r asking what could have Govt done before lockdown to avoid this chaos?

Experienced administrators can tell you that a lot could’ve done, like:

*meeting with all CMs to ensure common strategy

*anticipation of distress in urban poor & pre-publicity of relief plans

*mobilisation of elected representatives at all levels for human interface with troubled ones

*blueprint for use of schools/anganwadis

*plan for smooth movement of trucks

*pre-plan for distribution of cooked food packets

*mobilisation of anganwadis for rural relief

*3-4 days time given for preparations to people

*meeting of local administration with reputed civil society organisations and religious institutions for their help

& I am not talking about economic stimulus/measures yet. That could have followed soon after assessment

In this crisis, we in media ask questions not to corner govts, but to draw their attention

The calamity of such scale can only be addressed by Union & State govts. Not by any other political/ social/cultural organisation

So some questions follow from FM’s good announcements 1/n
The money will go in people’s bank accounts, but how will they withdraw it?

Village level Business correspondents system has almost collapsed due to lockout.

Is an alternative system being planned?

ठीक है कि NRC का ड्राफ़्ट अभी सामने नहीं आया है & CAA में भारतीय मुसलमानों का ज़िक्र नहीं है।
अब @RubikaLiyaquat सरकार से इन सवालों का भी जवाब दिला दे तो मसला ख़त्म हो:
1. सरकार ने कहा है कि NRC अभी नहीं आएगा। क्या सरकार बताएगी कि अभी नहीं आएगा तो कब आएगा या कि कभी नहीं आएगा? 1/n
2. सरकार से पूछ लीजिए कि CAA का लाभ असम में उन ग़ैर-मुस्लिम लोगों को मिलेगा या नहीं जो NRC में नागरिकता खो चुके है।
अगर नहीं मिलेगा का ये मामला भी ख़त्म। लेकिन अगर ग़ैर-मुस्लिम को लाभ देने का प्लान है, तो फिर साफ़ है कि CAA और NRC का लिंक है।

3. सरकार से पूछ लीजिए कि क्या NPR का डेटा doubtful citizen का रजिस्टर या लिस्ट बनाने में इस्तेमाल होगा कि नहीं?

यदि सरकार अधिकारिक तौर पर मना कर दे, तो ये मामला भी ख़त्म।

नहीं तो साफ़ है कि NPR के रास्ते NRC का पहला कदम तय हो गया।

FACT 1: They knew from at least Jan 3rd to prepare yet Feb 7th they shipped 17.8 tons of critical medical supplies OUT OF THE COUNTRY
After depleting the stockpile Feb 7th why didn't they immediately start manufacturing masks & respirators to replenish the supply?
FACT 2: States are begging the Federal Govt to help source supplies. Of items NY requested they got 2%. Florida received 200% of what they requested.
FACT 3: Feb 7th the US donated vital supplies to China & other countries. On March 25th China sold $467 million in medical supplies to Spain🤯We have healthcare workers w/ garbage bag gowns & don't have enough ventilators but we donated to China who had enough to sell to Spain😡

#ICYMI: Iranian forces fired 20 rockets at Israeli army outposts on the Golan Heights last night. In response, Israeli military set out on an extensive retaliatory attack against Iranian targets, the largest Israeli attack in Syria since 1974
No casualties reported on the Israeli side. Several targets connected to the #IRGC & Hezbollah attacked by Israel. Syrian media claims dozens of Israeli missiles were intercepted. There are reports of casualties in Syria.
More bomb shelters opened in northern Israel
The rocket barrage from Syria was directed at Israeli army outposts on the Golan Heights, like the intelligence assessment that the Iranian response will be limited so it won't lead to war. It is the 1st time Israel blames Iran directly for an attack on its territory

1/ On this day two years ago I chose the term “Self-Sovereign Identity” as the name for a new manifesto of 10 foundational principles for digital identity. It was a rallying cry to start a movement toward human-rights focused decentralized identity.
