Of the 1376 patients, 811 (58.9%) received #hydroxychloroquine (median duration of treatment, 5 days) and 565 (41.1%) did not. Among those who got #hydroxychloroquine, 45.8% got it in the 24 hours after presentation to the ER; 85.9% got it within 48 hours after presentation.
#Hydroxychloroquine-treated patients had lower Pao2:Fio2 at baseline than those who did not receive the drug (median 233 vs 360 mm Hg). Statistical analyses (multivariable regression) were used to see if this/other factors confounded results, but no benefit for the drug was seen.
